Greed is when a person that has a lot of physical possessions, or money, wants more and more.

Greed causes suffering. The greater the extent of the greed, the greater the suffering that it causes.

Wanting a modest amount of new posessions or enough money for a comfortable lifestyle is not greed, that's well and correct.



Ambition

Ambition is a desire to reach a higher level in life. An example is a desire for achievement in sport.

Like greed ambition can cause a cost to the person and those around them, however it is not as bad as greed.
